Novices Trampoline Competition at RAA

The Royal Alexandra & Albert School in Gatton Park, Reigate was the venue for the first time for the Novices Trampoline competition on 23rd April. 40 children took part in the competition, including many who had never competed before. All venues were represented. Medals were awarded for the top scorers in each category (pictured), Congratulations to all who took part. The next trampoline competition will be held on 9th July at the Keys in Horley.

North Surrey Floor and Vault competition

This was held recently at Coulsdon High School and was a very well run and friendly event. Our squad classes entered a good number of gymnasts and achieved some excellent results, including Grace Dimery who was awarded a perfect 10 for her vault. Well done to her and to all of you who took part. Pictured is Ella Sharman from the Horley squad class who was awarded a silver medal in what was her first competition against other clubs.

Horley Display

The Friday 7.00 class put on a display of sports acro recently at the Keys Centre in Horley. This was also a preparation for forthcoming competitions. Here are the class performing a
"mega-balance" from their group routine.

Congratulations to 11 year old Zoe Briscoe from Horley who has been awarded the coveted “Fay Greene Award for Progress in Gymnastics” trophy. Parking in William Road. Please be considerate of our neighbours and make sure you leave plenty of access down the middle of the road for emergency vehicles, lorries etc. If you are parking, rather than just dropping off, please consider leaving your car in Coulsdon Road or better still in Yorke Gate where there are always plenty of parking places.

Members' satisfaction survey

Congratulations to Vicky Patient who again achieved the highest score in the members' satisfaction survey with an average score of 9.06 out of 10.
Vicky coaches mainstream trampolining at the Keys Centre in Horley
Many thanks to all of you who took the time to complete the survey. Your comments are really appreciated and help us to improve the service we and all the coaches provide.

Winner of the May prize draw which is included with the members' satisfaction survey was 4 year old Ciaran Brennan. Ciaran attends a Kindergym pre-school gym and tramp class at William Road Caterham on the Hill. He wins (for his parents) a 3 course meal for two with a bottle of wine, courtesy of the Horshoe Country Carvery in Warlingham.
The next survey will be e-mailed in Julyl and the prize draw will be held on the 1st August.

Don't forget!

Be very careful. Garden trampolines are now the UK's most popular birthday present request for 6 to 13 year olds and the accident and emergency departments have never been busier. We are not joking.
Remember, always jump in the middle and when you want to get off, stop jumping and walk to the edge; never jump to the edge. Never jump on garden trampolines without a responsible adult present. And no "doubles" - ever (despite the picture in your brochure and the Fruit Shoot advert on the television.)
